It’s hard to believe that almost a whole year has passed since we left our little house in Charleston to travel the country. We’ve learned, seen, and experienced so much, in such a relatively short time, that we knew coming back home (to visit) would be an interesting experience.
Luckily, we came at the right time. Early spring in Charleston is beautiful, when the weather is cool and the flowers are blooming.
Step one: parking in Sadie’s backyard.
Way back in 2018, I met Sadie at our homeschool co-op. We’ve since become very close friends, and I’ve missed her in the last 10 months.
I reached out to her mom a few months ago about surprising Sadie when we came to visit, and she went a step further and invited us to park in their yard 😂. My dad accepted, so yeah, it was going to be quite the surprise.
When the day came, it presented quite the challenge to park, more than we had originally thought. We had to cut down 1 1/2 trees to get in 🫤
I would actually say that it was the most difficult time we’ve had trying to park the rig. I hope you were surprised Sadie 😅
Step two: reminisce
Parking was the hardest part though, and the next two weeks were great. I saw old friends, made new ones, and did normal people things. It was nice 😊

Shout outs to:
Claire! I missed you tons! So glad we got to hang out and play with Millie :)
Ms Sarah! Thank you for letting us park in your yard and barge into your house ;) and use your laundry, and electricity, and water and…
Wyatt! I am practicing chess, so look out…
Sloan! We should totally prank Sadie again 😂 I’m not gonna put the video on here to spare her though.
Adler! I loved your drawings!
Everyone at Youth Group! Thank you for including me and bringing some fellowship into my life, it was very memorable for me (especially the part when we beat each other with sock grenades).
Sadie! Last but not least of course. Glad we got to talk, stay up til 2, and be almost-sisters for a couple weeks :) I hope that we stay close like that even when we aren’t together 💛
Thanks for a fun few weeks!
