Howdy readers! The end of summer is a great time of the year; the leaves are changing, holidays are looming, and it’s time to whip out fall clothes again! I’m pretty sure we spent the last days of summer in the most beautiful place in America.
Glacier National Park is in Montana, and is so far up north that the park actually crosses into Canada at one point.
The weather was awesome, and even though at first was hazy, the sky eventually cleared to some amazing views.
Yeah yeah I hear you, here are some pictures.
Before- with clouds
After
Get this, it even snowed on our last weekend here. Watch the mountains change:
I mean they were beautiful before, but with the snow it was like God was trying to awe us til we dropped.
Not only were there beautiful mountain views, but the water. Ugh. The lakes and rivers here are so clear, and it’s because the water is all just melted glaciers and snow.
Lily took a sip of one of the waterfalls, and said she felt truly like a wilderness woman now 😂.

Okay, so Glacier is not only gorgeous, and has the best lake views, it also has great wildlife? Why yes it does.
Apparently there are a thousand bears in Glacier, compare that to only 3 in Rocky Mountain NP. We saw three bears while visiting, two grizzly bears and one black bear. Let me expand-
We we’re driving on the Going to the Sun Road, on our way to Saint Mary Lake, when I see something big, black, and furry on the side of the road. I yell, “Bear! BEAR!”, and Dad slams on the brakes and throws it in reverse.
Now, if you’ve ever seen a bear in a National park, chances are you weren’t the first to see it, and the bear was causing a major traffic jam. I felt so blessed to be the first, and we got to have him all to ourselves for a couple precious minutes.
As you can see he was ‘berry occupied’ 😜

The two grizzlies we saw were on the same day, maybe half a mile from the black bear. This time we definitely weren’t the first and there were a ton of people pulled over. It was a momma grizzly and her almost-full-grown cub, up on the hill, oblivious to the dozens of people below them.
Luckily my mom has an excellent wildlife lens, and she got some great shots (compared to my 35 mm prime lens lol).

My shot (meh 👎🏼)

Mom’s shot (👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼)
If you don’t think this is cute well, I don’t know what to say to you 😐.
So yeah that was Glacier! We miss it already (sad face). I’ll be doing another post on all the trails we did cause there were a lot, and I may or may not be working on some ukulele for y’all.
See you soon
