Hello readers! Sorry, it's been a while since I've written a personal post! It has indeed been a busy three months, so here I am to tell you about them.
May
After a few weeks in Charleston, doing beach things and catching up on school, we left to go to our favorite summer camp in North Carlina! You may remember from last year... This year it was very fun! We got to see old friends and make a lot of new ones. There were a lot fewer people that week than usual, so we were able to be closer to our cabinmates, and that was really nice.
Two days after camp was over we rushed down to GA to the second annual FTF teen rally! Again, very fun. I got prom queen btw :D
After the teen rally? Back to Charleston for a few more weeks. Finally wrapped up our storage unit fiasco (sigh).
June
Finally, in mid-June, we got to go somewhere new! Ooooo ✨ This new place would be Saluda, NC.
Our campsite there was so nice. Literally, 5 feet away from this adorable creek, surrounded by nature, birds, butterflies, and all that good stuff.
HOWever. The final day was not so fanciful. Remember the Santa Fe disaster? Getting stuck in the mud for 3 days? Yeah okay, this started off the same too.
RAIN. All night long.
6am- my mom walks in, turns on the light, and says, "Get up, get dressed, and grab what's most important to you."
Uh, okay, so I get up and grab my Bible, my money, a blanket, and my shoes. I get to the door to leave and my dad tells me to put some flip-flops on. "There may be up to a foot of water under the stairs. "
My face- 😳>😦>🤯
Because of all the rain, the little, innocent creek had risen 15 FEET and was rushing UNDER THE RIG TIRES. It was getting to a life-threatening point, which was why we had to evacuate.

So, bright and early, we went to a coffee shop to chill out for a few hours. Coming back to the rig after the rain had subsided, we were relieved to find it was still standing and in one piece. 😅 That day, we left for Tennessee, and parked at a campsite that was at a much safer distance from the river.
That next week was another busy week with friends!
Firstly, we went to the grand opening of the Largest Buc-ees in the World in Sevierville, TN, which actually ended up being a pretty big deal! Beaver Aplin, the owner, came, along with the Governor of TN and the congressmen! Plus a bunch of other important officials from Gatlinburg and such.

I had too much fun that day 😂
Next day? Dollywood hun. Went with a couple of our friends and had a BLAST. When you ride a rollercoaster 5 times in a row and your brain gets all squishy, that's when you know it's a good day.

July
The 4th of July was excellent. First off, Gatlinburg has what's called, the first Fourth of July parade. It starts at 12:01 am and wow, is it crazy! We got to see my friend perform banjo on a float, and that was great! You can check out his stuff here.

After the parade, Waffle House at 2am 👌🏻
Then we got some sleep to continue the party
That evening we BBQd with some friends and had the best at-home fireworks show ever!

Our next destination would be our family friend's farm, more like a 200-acre plot of land, but yeah. We had a very relaxing week driving four-wheelers, stargazing, gardening, and watching The Office.
And now we're in Texas visiting with family! Soon we'll be back in OkLaHomA- yay. After that though, big birthday plans! See you then!
