The 90-day Blitz...

Well yall, hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Apologies for not writing in a while, let me catch yall up...

After our stay in Albuquerque, we had two more stops before going back to OKC, Santa Fe, and an FTF Halloween event.

Yall may remember our stop here last year, which was super fun and cultural. This time though, some things were different.

Instead of it being December, it was mid-October, so the trees still had color.

Mom had her birthday here, and we had an excellent time. We went to a flamenco dance, which was really cool (too cool to allow video though)

And instead of staying at an RV park, we decided to boondock.

Here's where the story gets frustrating.

See, the next place we were planning on going was to a fulltime-families Halloween meetup. A ton of our friends were going to be there, and we wanted to be there the day it started, Sunday.

However, all week the forecast was predicting heavy thunderstorms for Saturday night, which would have meant we had to move a day early so that we wouldn't get stuck.

Saturday came though, and the forecast cleared up, so we were at ease about staying put another day.

Lo and behold, though, it rained. A lot. All night in fact.

And try as we might, we couldn't dig our big beast out of the mud. so we had to wait 2 days for the mud to dry. All the while feeling totally left out of what our friends were up to. It wasn't great.

On Tuesday though, we decided to try again. it was still muddy, and we were still stuck, but it was drying by the minute thanks to the New Mexico sun.

It took us 12 hours. 12 hours to go half a mile.

But hey, we made it! and the next few weeks with our friends were unforgettable. I don't know why we were put through that trial, but God had a reason for it.

It was worth the wait though.

Okay, back to the present.

Obviously, we didn't leave after the holidays as we had originally planned; we have more to do before we can leave.

I got a job working at Bethel for my Nana, and that's been good. School's been good as well.

Mom and Dad are working intensely for the next 90 days to make enough money to be sustainable for our future travels. Our new plan is to leave on April 9th, 2 days after Easter. This will give us enough time to make the money we need, I'll be able to make souvenir money at Bethel, and in February I'll be able to get my intermediate driver's license (and drive by myself!).

Prayers are needed for us, as we have a lot to do in a short amount of time. I can't wait to get traveling again so I can post more!

Love and miss yall,

-R.D.
