Pagosa Springs

Hey y’all! I hope your Fourth of July weekend was good, with lots of patriotism and fireworks.

On Friday we left La Veta and headed for Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Instead of staying at an RV park, we went to some BLM (Bureau of Land Managment) land, and camped without hookups for the first time (BLM land is basically just government land that you can camp at for up to two weeks for free). Since we have solar panels and a 100 gallon tank of water, we were pretty much just living in the middle of the woods (extreme glamping if I’ve ever seen it).
This was our site:

And a beautiful Aspen grove nearby:

On Saturday we went to an Arts and Crafts fair where I scored a couple of dorky earrings and a lovely hair clip.
(Thank you Lily for modeling for us)

Y’all comment and tell me what I should name my new pets 🐠😜.
That evening we went to a rodeo. It was a pretty cool experience, and we even went ”backstage” and saw all the horses and bulls closer up.

On Sunday (the fourth) we biked around by the river and then saw the fireworks over the mountain. They were extra good this year to make up for, well you know.
Overall, I’d say Pagosa Springs was a neat Colorado town, with lots of cute shops, hot springs, and tubing the river is a must. See y’all next time,
R.D.

I love your description of Pagosa Springs. I think you should name your earrings yes and no.
